A few years ago, our friends Joe and Mia came to us with a vision. They wanted to ride their very first Iron Man and they wanted to do on custom Valid bamboo bike. We decided to make a custom aerodynamic version of a bamboo bike. The seat stay and the top tube are the only bamboo pieces. The rest is made hand shaped custom carbon fiber.
We focused on putting carbon where it's aerodynamic and gives the best power transfer. The break is buried underneath the bottom bracket so that you have a more aerodynamic ride on your triathlon. This frame preserves the 3 - 1 ratio for air foils, so you can use it in a time trial. (UCI Legal)
Valid Bamboo bicycle frames are extremely stiff, durable, and comfortable. The smooth ride exceeds most aluminum, titanium and steel frames.
They are bound and mitered together by resin, epoxy and carbon fiber to create a strong, long-lasting frame that can take a beating as well as a unique look of nature meeting future.
